LLWYNHENDY JOINS INVEST LOCAL

Llwynhendy in Carmarthenshire has become the second Welsh community to join the Invest Local programme.

Groups, organisations and individuals from the area attended a second public meeting at Bryn Teg Primary School this week, where they agreed that the community would like to take part in the programme – which gives £1 million over 10 years.

Llwynhendy follows Penywaun in RCT, which was the first Invest Local area to be announced. Eleven more areas will be announced over the coming months.

Rachel Harding is the Invest Local Officer for Llwynhendy. She said: “Invest Local is all about the community deciding how the money will be spent, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the people of Llwynhendy identify as their priorities for the local area.

“Over the coming months, we’ll be speaking to as many people as possible from the community, to find out what’s important to them and how they’d like to shape the future of Llwynhendy.”
