Invest Local groups made sure that this would be a summer to put smiles on people’s faces after a difficult year and a half for their communities.

Invest Local Caerau have delivered their Winter 2020 newsletter, keeping local residents updated with community news and projects, and letting them know where they can access support for issues such as increased winter energy costs.

Invest Local Caerau have released an Autumn 2019 edition of their newsletter In Caerau, keeping local residents informed about Invest Local Caerau’s new Driving Change plan and the progress made by projects funded so far, as well news from other groups and activities in the area.

Invest Local recently held a cross-group workshop to bring together members of Steering Groups from different communities to share their experiences of and ideas for the Invest Local programmes in their areas.

Over the summer, several Invest Local communities have taken part in The Big Lunch.

The team from Big Lottery Wales came along to visit Invest Local projects in Caerau recently, and spent the day touring the many community projects in the area, meeting the people of Caerau and enjoying some fantastic hospitality.

An important part of our Invest Local programme is Shared Learning, where communities get together and learn from each other’s experiences.

Three more communities have joined the Invest Local programme. Maesgeirchen (Gwynedd), Caerau (Bridgend) and Hubberston and Hakin (Pembrokeshire) are the latest communities to be part of the scheme.
